Camille

Camille

(She/Her)

Camille is a graduate of Okanagan Valley College of Massage Therapy.

 

Camille is a very empathetic person who has a desire to assist people in their healing process. While in training, Camille found a passion in working with headaches, migraines and neck tension. Her priorities are to help decrease pain and make her clients feel better, while providing a safe space.

 

In her spare time, Camille enjoys training her dog, spending time with family and friends and playing sports such as fast-pitch softball. She also loves the great outdoors doing activities with her husband such as: hiking, fishing, gardening and camping.

Chelsea

(She/Her)

Chelsea is a graduate of the Vancouver College of Massage Therapy.

Alongside school and massages, she is also a therapeutic horseback riding coach. In her spare time she enjoys outdoors to go hiking, biking and ride her horse.

Christy

(She/Her)

Christy is a graduate of the Okanagan Valley College of Massage Therapy. She spent 2 years in Vernon while in school and then moved back to Chilliwack to begin her career as an RMT. She has found her passion in pain management and rehabilitation specifically; headaches, shoulders and lower back. She'll always include a little self-care to do at home, so you can work together in the healing process.

 

In her free time, Christy enjoys both being out in nature and relaxing at home. She can often be found out hiking with a friend or playing games with her family. She loves learning new things and is always looking for ways to improve her own life, and the lives of others.

Corinne

(She/Her)

Massage was always part of Corinne's recovery, self-care and injury prevention approach. She practiced many sports throughout her life, and started gravitating more and more to mountain sports in her early twenties. Along the way, she had several sports injuries that pushed her to learn more about the human body and pursue a RMT career. 

 

She massages athletes of all levels, outdoors enthusiasts and community members who are looking to improve performance, recover from an injury, general maintenance or take care of themselves! Corinne also enjoys being part of people's recovery process after an MVA.  It's very gratifying for her to hear that her clients are free from headaches, neck pain, nerve pain, have gained range of motion or achieved a health or athletic goal. Corinne is fascinated by how strong and resilient our bodies are, and she wants to facilitate connection with your body. She has taken continuing education in temporomandibular joint dysfunction rehabilitation and pain science.  

In a treatment, she uses a variety of active and passive techniques, and uses little to no oil to work more closely with your facias. After a massage with Corinne, you will feel rejuvenated and relaxed. 

 

In her free time, she trail runs, ski tours, climbs, hikes, cycles, kayaks and eats copious amounts of chocolate. Corinne is honoured to be part of your health journey, whether you are looking for maintenance, injury recovery or a wellness massage.

McKenna

(She/Her)

McKenna graduated from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in May of 2022. 

 

McKenna is passionate about helping others in any way she can, and massage therapy has allowed her to do this every day! She is so excited to jump into her career and continue to grow as a therapist.

 

Alongside work and school, McKenna enjoys hiking, skiing, soccer, and staying active in the gym.

Rachel

(She/Her)

Rachel graduated as an RMT from Vancouver Career College in 2014. She started working in a spa setting but quickly discovered her passion for rehabilitation work. She has grown as a therapist in the time she has been working with Intuitive Rehab Services and has a steady following of clientele.

Shayne

Shayne is a graduate of the West Coast College of Massage Therapy. He became interested in Massage Therapy during his recovery process following an old injury. Feeling that progress with his Yoga practice was stunted from this injury, Shayne’s family physician recommended massage. After several treatments with a Registered Massage Therapist, Shayne was ecstatic to experience an increase in his range of motion and dissipation of his chronic pain, which enabled him to continue progressing with his Yoga practice the way he desired. He felt needed to know what his Therapist knew! 

Shayne has a heart for helping people and loves that he can use his knowledge of human anatomy and practical skills as a Massage Therapist to approach helping others on their healing journey with intuition and empathy. He is happy to provide massage for wellness, rehabilitation or relaxation. His massage techniques include superficial to deep tissue work incorporating a wide range of Swedish massage, fascial work and joint mobilizations. Shayne has experience working with clients over a diverse profile of goals for health, wellness and recovery – from basic maintenance and stress management to more complex conditions of soft tissue injuries, joint replacements and fractures. He has successfully provided treatment to those experiencing Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Long Covid, Cerebral Palsy, Parkinson’s and Stroke.

Sydney

Sydney studied Massage Therapy at the Okanagan Valley College of Massage Therapy. Prior to joining the team at Intuitive, Sydney was an integral part of the therapy team at a top Massage Therapy clinic in Vernon, BC for two and a half years. She is delighted to bring her practice to Chilliwack with Intuitive Rehab.

 

Sydney’s primary aim is to encourage and assist others to take control of their health by supplying them with resources and knowledge in order to succeed in living their life at the highest functional level possible. To enhance her professional knowledge, Sydney has taken additional courses in personal training and is currently enrolled at Thompson Rivers University in the Bachelor of Health Science program.

 

Health is not a “one size fits all” approach, and neither are the clients we see. Every client is unique and Sydney always aims to ensure each treatment plan is individualized and tailored to specific treatment goals. In addition to the manual portion of treatment, she guides provides home care focused on movement, biomechanics, conditioning, and other self-care tools to empower clients to take control of their recovery.

 

Having grown up on the prairies, Sydney loves to take full advantage of BC living by spending her time hiking, cycling, camping, snowboarding and spending time with her beautiful pup, Mowgli.

Travis

Travis

(He/Him)

Travis started at Intuitive during his practicum (80 hours work experience) through the University of the Fraser Valley. He graduated in 2014 with a Bachelors of Kinesiology degree and joined the Intuitive team as a Kin. After 8 months, Travis had a scholarship opportunity, decided to go back to school and graduated from the Vancouver College of Massage Therapy. The more he studies, the more the human body fascinates him; from a cellular level, to tissues, organs, and the body as a whole.

He has a passion to help others, and massage therapy has opened the doors to allow him to do this every day ! He is so excited to be entering into this career and continue to learn and become a better therapist.

During his down time you can find him hiking, mountain biking, camping, swimming in the Vedder River, or enjoying a good book beside it. He also enjoys some recreational volleyball and soccer, but prefers spending his time in the wilderness exploring everything Chilliwack has to offer.

Unjan

Unjan graduated from Vancouver Career College where he completed 3200 hours of experience to gain his diploma in Registered Massage Therapy. 

 

His main focus is on the well-being of his patients and achieving client goals. He works hard to create a safe environment where everyone feels free to express their needs. He believes patients know their bodies best and looks forward to working with them to develop the best treatment plan. 

 

When he’s not in the clinic, Unjan spends time with his family and his dog Romeo. He also loves to skateboard and ride his bike. When he isn’t, you can find him playing piano or listening to music

A.J.

A.J. completed his bachelor’s degree in exercise physiology in 2012 at Fort Lewis College then went on to graduate from the Master’s of Physical Therapy program at the University of Saskatchewan in 2018. A.J.’s interests include sports rehabilitation, manual therapy, and active rehabilitation.
 
A.J. was previously employed as a kinesiologist and uses the skills he developed during that time to enhance exercise prescription. His clinical philosophy is directed towards education and client centered care with the believe that “motion is lotion”. This indicates that the more active we are the better we feel with our overall health, which facilitates you living your best life.
 

While attending Fort Lewis College A.J. also played football for the Skyhawks competing against NCAA II competition. His passion for football and all sports continues as he served as the offensive coordinator for the Meadow Ridge Knights this past season.

Angela W.

Angela W.

(She/Her)

Angela graduated from the Physical Therapy program at the University of British Columbia in 2003 and has been working in private practice ever since. She joined the team at Intuitive in 2015, following a move back to her hometown of Chilliwack. 

She has treated a wide variety of clients over the years, and believes that educating her clients is one of the most valuable tools she can offer in helping them achieve success in their rehabilitation. 

Angela also enjoys her other role as a sessional instructor at UFV, where she teaches a sports injuries course in the Kinesiology department.

Harman

(She/Her)

Harman completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Physiotherapy from Lovely Institute of Higher Studies (G.N.D.U) in India. Upon coming to Canada, she obtained her status as a Registered Physiotherapist with CPTBC. 

 

Harman uses a combination of techniques rich in manual therapy including symptom modification, trigger point release, shockwave therapy, vestibular therapy as well as client education and individualized exercise programs to help her clients achieve their goals. She firmly believes in treating not only patient symptoms, but also the source of pain to ensure long term relief. Harman enjoys treating people of all ages and has been fortunate to work with a wide variety of patients over the years, working in acute care/hospital settings and out-patient environments.

 

Over her years of practice and continuing education, Harman came to develop a keen interest in women’s pelvic health physiotherapy, realizing how impactful this treatment can be. She loves that pelvic health physiotherapy provides a safe space for women to address their concerns and greatly improve their quality of life. She has found that incorporating pelvic health treatment into her practice has enhanced her general physiotherapy skills and supports her in treating people even more holistically! 

 

Harman is extremely enthusiastic about sharing her passion for health and wellness with all her patients and loves to help people reach their health goals. In her free time, she loves to spend time with her family and explore the great outdoors.

Isabelle

Graduated from Queen’s University in 1986 with a Bachelor in physiotherapy.  Over her 35 year career she has gained experience in a wide range of settings such as hospitals, extended care units, home health and rehab centres.

 

Isabelle’s main focus is helping people regain and maintain quality of life while dealing with chronic conditions.She has had an advanced personal yoga practice to manage life’s stresses since 2006.  This hobby grew into a passion that lead her to take her RYT-200 (200 Hours Registered Yoga Teacher Certification) and Yin/Chakra certification in summer of 2017.In March 2016, a tragic water accident rendered her husband a quadriplegic.  Through this personal experience of trauma and rehabilitation, Isabelle’s yoga practice deepened and evolved into a whole new way of practicing physiotherapy.  She is inspired to use yoga as her main treatment modality.No matter your age or circumstance, her goal is to keep you moving so that you can live your life to the fullest.

Michaela

(She/Her)

Michaela completed her bachelor’s degree in human kinetics in 2018 at the University of British Columbia Okanagan. After working at Intuitive as a kinesiologist Michaela decided to return back to school to complete her Master’s of Physical Therapy at the University of Alberta. Michaela’s interests include active rehabilitation, manual therapy, pain science and pre and postpartum exercise prescription. 

 

Michaela believes in providing holistic evidence-based care to each and every client. Using a combination of education, hands on techniques and active exercise Michaela’s goal is to get clients back to doing the things they love. 

 

Michaela was born and raised in Chilliwack and is very excited to be back serving her community. If she is not at work you will catch Michaela around town running, hiking or cycling.

Michelle

Michelle graduated from the University of Pretoria, South Africa, with her Bachelors in Physiotherapy. Over the years, she has been responsible for various levels of service delivery to a wide range of stakeholders within the public and private health care sectors.

Michelle has a unique ability to connect with clients and stakeholders alike which has allowed her to physically and mentally prepare clientele with various orthopedic, neurological and chronic pain related disorders for a successful return to work and/or a return to their normal daily activities. This is done through listening to people’s stories, gathering all the information available, identifying potential gaps, placing adequate weight on all the influencing factors and then mapping out a well-defined action plan, inclusive of each parties’ responsibility and accountability towards successful outcomes.

 

It is Michelle’s passion to empower and facilitate clients in their recovery process, while minimizing disability, through a function-based assessment and well-defined treatment process considering each person as a whole.

Raj

Rajat graduated from M S Ramaiah Medical college in Bangalore, India and has worked in various hospitals in India. He has worked primarily in the capacity of Clinical Physiotherapist in Canada with patients having various musculoskeletal issues.

 

Rajat strongly believes in teamwork for the betterment of patients and is always open to suggestions and feedback.

 

In his free time, Rajat enjoys watching soccer and cricket.

Meet - Kin

Alanna

(She/Her)

Alanna earned her Bachelor of Human Kinetics from the University of British Columbia Okanagan. She graduated with a focus in Clinical Exercise Physiology and is a Practicing Member with the British Columbia Association of Kinesiologists. Alanna has continued her post-graduate education, publishing her research in trauma-informed sport interventions.

 

Alanna has a passion for active rehabilitation, public education, and working with members of the community to enhance the quality of their functional movements and practical abilities to promote a healthy and active lifestyle.

Ashley 

(She/Her)

Ashley is a graduate of the University of the Fraser Valley with a Bachelor of Kinesiology specializing in Exercise Science. 

 

Throughout her undergraduate degree, Ashley has had the opportunity to work and volunteer with various populations including those with Developmental Disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Parkinson’s Disease, and Postpartum Mothers. Ashley has a strong interest in stress and chronic disease, exercise physiology, community health promotion, nutrition, and injury rehabilitation. As a Kinesiologist, Ashley strives to provide evidence-based care through a holistic approach, helping those reach their rehabilitation and health goals.

 

Outside of work, you can find Ashley coffee shop hopping, skiing in the winter, hiking and biking in the summer, and traveling the world whenever she gets the chance!

Ashley

Ashley is a graduate from the University of the Fraser Valley. She completed her Bachelor’s of Kinesiology with a focus in Exercise Science, and an Extended Minor in Psychology. She finds particular interest in topics of biomechanics, exercise prescription, and athletic injuries.

 

Ashley’s love of movement began at the age of 4 when she took her first dance class. She continues to dance today and hopes to be able to dance for the rest of her life.

 

Ashley loves building relationships with clients and encouraging people through their rehab or exercise journey. She is passionate about providing people with the tools and resources to be able to return to activities they love doing in hopes that they will be able to do them as long as they wish.

 

Outside of work, Ashley enjoys reading, doing puzzles, painting, and spending time with her family.

Bailee

(She/Her)

Bailee graduated from UFV with her Bachelor of Kinesiology with a focus in exercise science, and an extended minor in psychology. There she enjoyed studying exercise physiology, athletic injuries and exercise prescription. 

 

Bailee’s passion for movement began with her many years training in and teaching martial arts. As an instructor she fell in love with teaching people of all ages how to efficiently move and reach their goals. Since graduation she has spent time in a Paediatric clinic, working with children of a variety of neurological conditions.

 

One of Bailee’s favourite things is the relationships she builds with clients. She is passionate about creating a fun and safe environment while helping people get back to living fully and pain free! 

She loves empowering people in feeling confident and strong in their bodies while educating them to be independent in taking care of themselves and getting back to the things they enjoy. 

 

Outside of work, Bailee loves spending time outdoors. She can usually be found around a campfire, learning guitar, doing puzzles or playing sports like soccer and softball!

Ben

Ben graduated from the University of Waterloo with an Honours Degree in Kinesiology and a minor in Psychology, with focuses on personnel and sports psychology. At Waterloo, he enjoyed studying biomechanics, injury rehabilitation, and human anatomy.

 

His love of kinesiology came through volunteering with both boys and girls middle school rugby teams and from experiencing rehabilitation himself for an arm injury he sustained playing rugby for the Fraser Valley. From this, he became inspired to provide rehabilitation and injury management for others in any way he could. Ben believes the best rehabilitation for a person is one with a holistic approach that creates safe spaces for people to learn and increase their abilities.

 

Ben enjoys martial arts and has acquired a black belt in karate. He also loves playing team sports like football, basketball, rugby, and soccer. Outside of work, Ben enjoys watching/playing team sports, weight training, and analytical puzzles

Danika

Danika graduated from the University of the Fraser Valley in 2022 with a Bachelors of Kinesiology and a concentration in Exercise Science. Familiar with rehabilitation involving sports injuries and motor vehicle accidents, Danika is passionate about building relationships and mentoring along the road to recovery. 

 

The Fastpitch community in Chilliwack has kept her busy for the past 10 years as she has been involved both as an athlete and a coach. This involvement has peaked Danika’s interest for promoting and creating engaging and enjoyable activity for everyone. Danika is committed to helping everyone build confidence in themselves and expanding their capabilities to achieve their goals.

 

Danika loves to be in the gym, spending time with friends and family, and doing all things outside. You can usually catch her out on the trails walking her dog or going for a hike!

Faye

(She/They)

Faye is a Practicing Kinesiologist from the University of British Columbia Vancouver, majoring in Neuromechanics and Physiological Sciences. She has worked with different physical capacities and injuries of high performance and emerging athletes, general population (teens, adults and seniors) and special needs. Faye is passionate about helping people optimize their wellbeing in purposeful ways. She values resilience, perseverance and patience in her process of assisting clients to successfully attain their rehabilitation and fitness goals. She strives to share a progressive mindset and a safe space for learning!

 

Faye enjoys listening to music, driving scenic routes, reading a book and leisure physical activities. In the past, she has been a women’s rugby trainer at UBC and a captain of UBC Current women’s dragon boat team. She likes to exercise in weight rooms, track fields, yoga studios and trails.

Julee

(She/Her)

Julee graduated from the University of the Fraser Valley with a Bachelor of Kinesiology specializing in exercise science.  During her time at UFV she took keen interest in exercise physiology, community health, as well as programming for special populations and individuals with disabilities.  Since graduating Julee has gained experience as a clinical kinesiologist creating exercise programs for older adults and individuals with health concerns.  

 

Julee aims to create a safe and inclusive space for each and every individual. She believes in following a holistic approach with her clients to create balance and derive a sense of overall wellness. She takes special consideration to individualize programs for each client in order to best achieve personal goals and regain optimal function. Julee is passionate about helping her clients find confidence in their bodies and grow their self-efficacy in regards to exercise. 

 

Outside of work, Julee enjoys hiking, reading, practicing yoga, and spending time with her cat, Remy.

Kevin

Kevin obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology from the University of the Fraser Valley in 2014. As a kinesiologist at Intuitive rehabilitation, Kevin develops specialized exercise programs for the rehabilitation of a wide variety of injuries and disabilities. He has completed several additional courses retailed to field of rehabilitation as well as the Matheson Functional Capacity Evaluation. Kevin has a passion for helping people achieve their full potential. Out of the clinic, Kevin is a personal trainer and embodies fitness, health, and wellness as integral part of his life. He enjoys weight training, running, cycling, and snowboarding.

Prabh

(He/Him)

Prabh completed his Sport Science & Bachelor of Physical Education and Coaching Degree, with a specialization in Kinesiology, from Douglas College. He is currently a Practicing Member of the British Columbia Association of Kinesiologists. Prabh holds additional certifications and accreditations through the NCCP (National Coaching Certification Program of Canada), BCRPA (British Columbia Recreations and Parks Association) and High Five - Principles of Healthy Childhood Development.  


During his studies, Prabh gained a keen interest in exercise physiology, integrated movement analysis, sport nutrition, sport psychology and the role these elements play in active rehabilitation. Through the incorporation of these principles into aspects of his own practice, he was able to gain valuable experience and success when working with clients across a vast spectrum of populations, abilities and unique functions. 

When not helping clients achieve their rehabilitative goals, Prabh enjoys spending time hiking and camping through the great outdoors with his wife and their two energetic dogs.

Priya

(She/Her)

Priya obtained her Bachelor of Kinesiology from the University of the Fraser Valley with a specialization in Active Health.

 

Throughout her time at UFV, she had the opportunity to work with a variety of populations. Some being individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Parkinson’s Disease, Spinal Cord Injuries, and Varsity Athletes. With this experience, she has gained an interest in sports injuries and neurological rehabilitation, along with motor control patterns. She is excited to put her knowledge and experience to use at Intuitive to further promote health and aid in improving quality of life for all populations through a client-focused approach.

 

Outside of work, Priya is also a Certified Personal Trainer, with specializations in corrective exercise and strength and conditioning through the International Sports Sciences Association. She enjoys spending time hiking, going to the gym, and travelling!

Rosalia 

(She/Her)

Rosalia graduated with her Bachelor in Kinesiology from UFV with a specialization in Exercise Science. She is a practicing member with the BCAK. 

 

Prior to joining the team at Intuitive, she obtained a wide range of experience working with diverse populations from facilitating exercise programs and recreation activities for seniors in long-term care facilities to working with athletes at the university level.

 

Rosalia is passionate about providing programs and structure to help people get back on their feet so they can keep enjoying what life has to offer. As she expands her growth and knowledge as a therapist, she is interested to develop her professional skill set in the paediatric field. Further down the road, she is exploring the opportunity of pursuing her Masters of Physical Therapy or Masters of Occupational Therapy.

 

Rosalia is fluent in both English and Spanish. When she’s not working you can find her kayaking, hiking or planning her next trip

Steven

Steven obtained his Bachelor of Kinesiology from UFV, with a focus on Exercise Science. During this time, Steven gained valuable knowledge and insight into injury rehabilitation and it’s various applications - from managing pain through the use of beneficial movement to restoring performance in sport and work.

 

Through his personal athletic career, he has enhanced his knowledge of exercise performance and effective programming. 

 

Professionally, he has expanded his repertoire of knowledge in analyzing the biomechanics of the lower body and the role that this plays in recovering from injury. All of this allows him to provide a precise rehabilitation approach for his clients to help them reach their recovery and performance goals.

 

Steven is currently studying to become a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist with the NSCA. Outside of Intuitive, he can be found in the gym training for powerlifting, swimming, or hiking throughout the lower mainland.

Stephen

Stephen is a registered Kinesiologist specializing in Exercise Science from the University of the Fraser Valley. Coming from a background involving heavy physical labour and over 30 years of sports, Stephen has a personal insight and understanding of rehabilitation. Through his experiences and studies he has garnered a passion for helping clients recover and improve their quality of life. 

 

Out of the clinic Stephen can be found giving it everything he’s got at the baseball diamond both on the mound and in the batter’s box.

Dr. D'Anne Howes

(She/Her)

Dr. D’Anne Howes has been a Registered Psychologist in British Columbia since 1998. She has worked in private practice and with organizations such as Health Canada for over 20 years. In her early years, she worked at Orion Health proving intake, assessment and medical/psychological reports for client’s suffering from chronic pain. Focal areas included: interdisciplinary case management; individual therapy, biofeedback; mindfulness/relaxation training; pain management; psycho-educational groups; and return to work planning and implementation.
 

Dr. Howes utilizes various different treatment strategies including: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and she is also trained in EMDR frequently utilized for post-traumatic stress disorder treatment. She has experience working with veterans and other service and military personnel including RCMP. Additionally, with personal and marriage counseling.
 

Dr. D’Anne’s clinical focus has evolved to include a holistic and interdisciplinary focus on treatment, which examines all aspects of a person’s life that play a role in promoting physical and mental wellness. In her clinical practice, she specializes in injury recovery, depression, anxiety, stress/trauma, PTSD, adjustment to parenting, women’s health, marriage counselling, chronic disease/pain management, and geriatric care.

Aleen

(She/Her)

Aleen was born and raised in beautiful British Columbia and received her Bachelor of Arts with a major in Psychology from Simon Fraser University. She further pursued her desires to advocate for and help other’s by moving to Queensland Australia to complete her Master of Occupational Therapy at Bond University. Currently Aleen holds registration with the College of Occupational Therapists British Columbia (COTBC).

Aleen has had clinical placements and work experience in varied client-centered therapeutic settings which has allowed her to develop a holistic understanding of disability and barriers to meaningful occupational engagement. Additionally, Aleen had the unique opportunity to work as a community support worker/OT assistant prior to receiving her OT registration – which strengthened her skills in relating to diverse groups along with her ability to work successfully within a multidisciplinary team setting. Aleen strives to be an adaptable and creative OT. This fuels her passion to engage in various professional development and continued education opportunities to provide optimal person-centred care to her clients.

During her free time and days off Aleen enjoys baking, reading, long walks outdoors and spending time socializing with friends and family!

Ashlee B

Ashlee received her Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy at the University of Western Ontario, following completion of a B.Sc in Human Kinetics at the University of Ottawa.

 

She began her career working in forensic mental health in Ontario, before following a lifelong dream of moving to the west coast. She has extensive experience in both hospital and community settings working with clients experiencing serious mental health issues, addictions, and brain injuries. She is highly competent in providing assessments and using this information to empower her clients to make realistic changes through goal setting, planning, and training independent living skills. 

In her free time, Ashlee enjoys hiking with her two dogs, running, yoga, and volunteering with a dog rescue.

Ashley received her Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy from the University of Alberta. Prior to this, she completed her Bachelors' of Arts with a Major in Psychology from the University of the Fraser Valley. 

 

Ashley has vast experience within acute care settings, inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation programs, and community private practice. She is passionate about helping her clients return to regular routine and the things they enjoy in life. To best support those she works with, Ashley has continued to develop her knowledge and skill set by focusing her professional development on chronic pain management, anxiety and stress management, depression, goal planning, return to work planning, ergonomics, concussion management and cognitive rehab.
 

In her free time she enjoys yoga, and chasing after her son (and spouse) in many outdoor activities.

Barb received her Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy from Queen's University following the completion of her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology (with Honours) from St. Francis Xavier University.

During her 20+ years of experience as an OT, Barb has developed an extensive background successfully assisting and empowering persons with mental and physical challenges. Recently, she has focused her practice to supporting those along their mental health and recovery journey. Barb is experienced in the principles of Mindfulness and Trauma-Informed Practice, harm reduction, sensory integration, and implementation of evidence-based practices that support therapeutic milieus conducive to recovery.

Barb's journey has taken her to Prince George, and Intuitive is ecstatic to retain her amazing skill set and personality while providing services to people in the Central BC/Cariboo Region.

 

When not at work, Barb recharges by spending time with her friends and family, especially her son. Some of her favourite activities include making good use of the opportunities nature offers - hiking, trail riding on her bike, and chillaxing while "glamping" at her beautiful lot at the Glen at Maple Falls.

After receiving her Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from Queen's University, Christie left her busy Ontario life for the west coast to pursue her passion of healthy living and helping others.

Christie began her OT career in hospital settings where she worked closely with patients helping them through their acute physical and psychological recovery journey. She has experience in acute stroke and in-patient rehabilitation, community mental health, and vocational rehabilitation.

 

The transition to work in private practice with Intuitive has been an enjoyable experience for Christie. She enjoys working one-on-one with clients and the ability to be creative in her practice by working with clients to develop individualized plans that help them achieve their personal goals. She continually seeks new knowledge and evidence to help her clients see positive changes throughout their recovery and develop strategies for living meaningful lives in the community through the wide array of resources that BC offers. Christie takes pride in supporting her clients to return to work and daily life. 

Currently, Christie is on mat leave, focusing her time and attention on her beautiful baby girl. When she has free time, she enjoys snowboarding, camping, swimming, and cooking.

Elizabeth was born and raised in Nova Scotia. She received her Master's in Occupational Therapy from Dalhousie University following the completion of her Bachelors in Kinesiology with a minor in Dance from the University of Calgary.

 

Elizabeth found her place in private practice working with children and families with diverse challenges in Alberta, where she was a co-owner of Connecting Dots, Inc. - a paediatric occupational therapy clinic. She has diverse experience working with the young and 'young at heart' in clinical and community-based settings.

 

Elizabeth found her way to Chilliwack as part of a new adventure with her family. In her down-time, Elizabeth's passion for gardening fills her up. She loves the extended growing season and all the outdoor opportunities the Fraser Valley has to offer.

Jenny-Marie

Jenny-Marie grew up in Langley and spent 3.5 years living in the western arctic. She studied fine art at Emily Carr University of art and design, she loves to paint and play the piano.

 

Jenny-Marie worked for 5 years as a behaviour interventionist and special education assistant for kids with disabilities during the school year; and then during the summer would work as a tree planter and tree planting foreman in bush camps in northern B.C. Jenny-Marie received her Masters of Occupational Therapy at the University of Sydney in Australia.

 

She loves to be outside, especially hiking and camping.

Kat

Kat grew up and went to school in British Columbia. She completed her Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology at Simon Fraser University.  She then went on to pursue her passion by graduating with a Masters of Occupational Therapy from the University of British Columbia.

 

She has worked previously in private practice and then nearly 10 years in the hospital where she worked on assessment and treatment of patients who are in the acute phase of their recovery.  This includes experience in acute stroke, neurological conditions, cognitive assessment, mental health, equipment prescription, as well as functional assessment and treatment.

 

At Intuitive Rehab Services, Kat has truly enjoyed working with clients to achieve their personal goals, and providing support in their journey to live meaningful and fulfilled lives.  Kat is passionate about expanding her skills and enjoys working with a wide variety of clients.

 

Outside of work, Kat is spending time with her children, camping and travelling.

Katrina

Katrina completed her Master of Occupational Therapy degree at the University of British Columbia and is a registered member of COTBC and CAOT.

Katrina’s passion for pursuing a career in the holistic practice of Occupational Therapy was facilitated by both her lived experiences and her Bachelor of Science in Behavioural Neuroscience with a minor in Gerontology from Simon Fraser University. Her undergraduate degree provided her with a diverse perspective on health that honours both the mind and body while gaining a deeper understanding of the aging process. Katrina has expanded her knowledge and experience through working with individuals in a wide variety of clinical settings and seeking continuing education to continue her growth as a therapist. Katrina is passionate about respecting every individual’s unique needs and goals, prioritizing person-centred care at the heart of her practice.

When she is not working you can often find Katrina spending time with her family and friends, crocheting, baking, or near a body of water!

Kayla completed her Masters of Occupational Therapy at the University of Queensland.

Prior to Occupational Therapy, Kayla completed a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Psychology. Kayla has previous work and volunteer experience with children and youth with disabilities. Her most recent role being a Job Coach for an employment program, which was aimed at easing the transition to adulthood for youth with disabilities and mental health challenges.

 

When she is not working, Kayla enjoys a trip to the beach (whether that be by car or plane), hiking with her pup and spending time with family and friends!

Lana obtained a BSc in Physiology, Microbiology and Human Kinetics from the University of British Columbia in 2005 before completing an MSc in Occupational Therapy at the University of Alberta in 2009.  She has been working in private practice since 2009 with a focus on ICBC, WorkSafe BC, Extended Health insurance, VAC, Functional Capacity Evaluations, Cost of Future Care Assessments and privately funded treatment.   She is a member of COTBC and CAOT and has completed ongoing training related to cognitive, physical and mental health rehabilitation.  She has given evidence as an expert witness for the Supreme Court of Canada.

Marie received her Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy at Queen’s University. Prior to OT, she completed her Bachelor of Human Kinetics in Athletic Therapy at Trinity Western University. Marie has been a part of the Intuitive team since 2011, initially working as a kinesiologist. Through these experiences, her interests in personalized and holistic rehabilitation plans grew, and she returned to school to expand her skills. Since then, Marie continues to seek continuing education opportunities in order to better serve clients. She is passionate about meeting people where they are at, assisting them to set realistic goals, and supporting overall wellness in their lives so they can move forward. She enjoys working with a wide variety of clients, and is particularly interested in head injuries and orthopedics.

  

Outside of work, you can find her in the barn with cows and chickens, walking along vedder river, spending time with family, swimming, and attempting to cook.

Matt received his Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Dalhousie University in 2015, following completion of a Bachelor’s in Kinesiology at Acadia University. He began his career in Nova Scotia working in community mental health and insurance, followed by teaching and working in the Occupational Therapy program at Dalhousie University. Matt then moved on to providing services in Paediatrics, specifically with children with autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, down syndrome and other unique conditions.

 

Matt has worked primarily in private settings with interests in mental health, relationship based therapy, and helping clients to achieve their developmental and functional based goals. 

 

In his free time, you will find Matt golfing or out exploring BC with his two dogs, Jax and Sadie.

When individuals experience disability and impairment it creates stress and a loss in occupational performance and roles. Many times life unravels and we lose a sense of who we are and what we are supposed to be engaging in. As an Occupational Therapist, Michelle's number one passion and goal is to assist with identifying barriers and obstacles and promoting increasing function through use of occupations. She facilitate's her clients to find a heathy balance of  activities, to find healthy coping strategies and an improved sense of perceptions so that they can succeed in their goals and move forwards with wellness. She knows that no single treatment approach is right for everyone and so she has educated herself in many different treatment techniques and programs to assist each client in the best way possible. Michelle has obtained many certifications and courses and sincerely enjoys expanding her treatment options with regular educational course attendance.

Michelle founded Intuitive Rehabilitation Services in 2005 and is extremely proud of the company and the services we provide. She has been elected to be a Supreme Court of British Columbia expert in Occupational Therapy, and is trained in treating psychosocial, orthopaedic and traumatic brain injuries. She is passionate about the work and outcomes that she is able to achieve in this role. Outside of work time, she enjoys reading, dancing, paddle boarding, kayaking, exercising, snow boarding and playing ninjas with her three active boys.

Rachel is joining Intuitive Rehab Services after a move from Manitoba. She completed her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from the University of Manitoba and has previous OT experience in pediatrics.

In Shaina's spare time she loves taking care of a vegetable garden and cooking. She has lived overseas (Israel) before going into her career as an occupational therapist. She loves hiking/canoeing/being outdoors and has been practicing yoga since 2009 and find it to be a very important part of her life.

Over her years of practice, Shereen has enhanced her knowledge by focusing her professional development on mental health, cognition, physical dysfunction and ergonomic assessments. She is passionate about seeing people get back to the activities that they enjoy so they can feel fulfilled and live a meaningful life.

Muamera

Muamera was born and raised in Bosnia where she graduated from Medical Highschool. She gained tons of knowledge and experience during her time working in a hospital and medical clinic. Muamera came to Canada in 2018, where she lived in Abbotsford for two years and then moved to Chilliwack in 2020. 

 

Muamera is very friendly and loves to help others. Outside of nursing, she has also spent the last two years in customer service. Her strong passion for healthcare brought her to Intuitive Rehab Services where she is thrilled to be a part of the team so she can continue to grow in her career!

 

Her favorite thing to do is spend time with her husband and daughter. Muamera is a big fan of the outdoors and is very excited to explore all of Chilliwack’s beauty.

Holly

Holly completed her bachelors degree in kinesiology at UFV, with a specialization in pedagogy. She is very passionate about helping others work through their injuries and assisting them with their return to everyday life. 

 

Experiencing personal injury from a car accident and helping care for a chronically ill family member has given Holly a strong sense of empathy for others with physical challenges. 

 

When Holly is not at work, she is likely out trail running with her dog, coaching climbing club, or taking care of her hobby farm. In the winters Holly enjoys backcountry skiing with her husband and camping in the snow.

Teresa

Teresa was introduced to the practice of yoga in 2013 in search of living a more healthy and balanced lifestyle. It didn’t take long to see the small changes that started to happen within her mindset and emotional wellbeing. After attending as many workshops and classes as possible, she decided to pursue her new found passion to a deeper level. 

In 2016, Teresa completed her 200 hour certification under Christina Raskin. Shortly thereafter, she left her full time job to pursue her yoga teaching. Since then, she has continued to deepen her practice with additional training in Yoga Nidra, Prenatal and Postnatal yoga, and Restorative Yoga.

 

As a mom of two young boys, her personal practice for the past few years has had a focus on slower, restful movements and practices to maintain a balanced and present life. When not on her mat, Teresa enjoys getting outdoors to explore nature alongside her family.

Dr. Otano

Jose Otano completed his bachelor degrees in kinesiology in 2013 at University of the Fraser Valley, then after three years went on to complete his doctorate at Palmer College of Chiropractic West in San Jose, California. His interests included sports rehabilitation, diversified chiropractic adjusting technique, extremity adjusting, nutrition and active rehabilitation. 

Before his start at Palmer Chiropractic West, he was previously employed as a kinesiologist at intuitive rehab for three years and raised to the position of head kinesiologist . This is were he developed his skills in exercise prescription and confidence in educating his clients.

After completing his bachelor degree at UFV he completed an internship with the BC Lions during the 2013 season. He developed the love of sports rehabilitation and learned from athletic trainers, strength and conditioning coaches and sports doctors.

Brad graduated from Trinity Western University with a Kinesiology degree from their Human Kinetics department. After TWU he continued at Palmer College of Chiropractic West in San Jose, California. Throughout his time in Chiropractic school he learned different Chiropractic adjusting techniques and was also certified in Functional Movement Systems, Functional Range Conditioning, and manual muscle release techniques, Functional Range Release; all of which have increased his knowledge and passion for treating musculoskeletal conditions and movement deficiencies of the spine and extremities.

While attending TWU he played for the men’s volleyball team and was also a member of the Canadian Junior National team. He enjoys many types of fitness and training, to keep his body functioning and healthy.

Greg has spent the last 6 years working with Indigenous children and families, most recently in the substance use field. Greg is passionate about helping individuals achieve their goals so they are the healthiest people they can be both emotionally and physically.

Angela was born and raised in Manitoba. She graduated from high school in 1986, majoring in Cosmetology. Angela has been providing cleaning services for 35+ years and it brings her a lot of joy in helping others feel a little healthier.

 

Angela has been a volunteer for the Air Cadets and Boy Scouts and in her free time she enjoys hiking, biking, horseback-riding, baking, and exploring all the beautiful places B.C. has to offer.. Most of all, she loves spending time with her husband, 2 Boys, 2 Daughter-in-Laws, her 4 precious grandchildren, and going for walks with her dog Chase.

Cassie was born and raised in Chilliwack. She comes to Intuitive with a wealth of knowledge and experience in customer service. Hannah is a born and raised BC body. She loves anything that gets her outside and gets her heart pumping. Among the endless list of personal goals, she hopes to fulfill one of her biggest dreams of becoming a licensed sky diver. 

 

A few more things that gets her heart pumping are her family, friends, her adventuring guinea pig named Goose, and photography. 

 

Not only is Hannah is beyond thankful for this new adventure and opportunity but she truly cannot wait to be apart of the Intuitive team. Onward and upward... or in her case, free falling to the target point!

Lori has been working in the health care industry for over 5 years as an administrative assistant. She is enthusiastic about helping facilitate clients get the care they need and getting to know them, all while helping the front desk run smoothly. In June 2019 she graduated from UFV with her Bachelor of General Studies.

She grew up in Coquitlam and has been living in Chilliwack since 2007. Lori lives with her husband, 2 children, dogs Teddy and Penny and their ginger cat Gilbert. When not at work Lori loves to read, knit and quilt with her daughter. She also loves to cook and bake (as long as it’s her idea).

Marlee

Marlee was born and raised in Yarrow, B.C. and this is where her heart lies. She spent her teen years volunteering at the Yarrow Community Suppers, Yarrow Days and working summers at the local ice cream stand.

 

When she wasn’t volunteering you would find her outside somewhere enjoying nature. Marlee loves everything outdoors from walking her dog Lulu, camping, and riding her ebike.

Rima joined the Intuitive Team  in Spring of 2018. Originally from Lithuania, Rima moved to London, England in 2000. There, she gained 10 years experience in a medical field in Private London Bridge Hospital. She started working as an Administrator of an Imaging Department and then become a Healthcare assistant.

In the Summer of 2017, Rima, her husband and their two young boys made the big move from London all the way to Chilliwack. When Rima is not at work she can be found alongside her husband supporting her two boys playing the sports they adore -Soccer and Tennis, or biking along the river to explore her new town, or hiking through the mountains.

After having been in both Health Care and Administrative fields for over 10 years, Shannon has worked in both private and public Health Care settings. Away from work Shannon enjoys spending time with her three teenage daughters, running, skiing and hiking with her dog.

Vanessa grew up in Abbotsford but moved to Australia in 2014 for 4 years where she got married. She has a passion for travelling all over the world with her husband and visiting family in Italy, Australia and Mexico. Chilliwack is her home now where she enjoys spending time with her dog, 2 cat and 4 horses; enjoying the beautiful outdoors that we are so lucky to have.

Andrea

Andrea is one of our Clinic Directors. Andrea has been a practicing member of the British Columbia Association of Kinesiologists since 2008 and a Certified Personal Trainer with the Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology (CSEP) since 2006. She received her Bachelor of Human Kinetics with a specialization in Exercise Science and minor in Psychology from UBC in 2004. Prior to joining the team at Intuitive, Andrea was Manager of Health & Fitness at the Chilliwack Family YMCA from 2006-2012. Andrea has vast experience working with people of all ages and all abilities, from teens and youth to older adults, general population and those with special considerations for exercise.The design, capacity and resiliency of the human body fascinate Andrea; she is passionate about helping people understand in practical and functional ways how their body works whether through rehabilitation or goals to improve health and fitness. Throughout her career in the field, Andrea has taken countless courses and workshops to help her bring knowledge to her clients in more tangible ways on topics such as: cardiovascular rehabilitation & exercise, pregnancy, nutrition, sport specific, functional movement, posture and rehabilitation. Andrea enjoys cycling, both on the road and in the mountains, and taking advantage of the great outdoors of the Fraser Valley. She continues to volunteer at the Chilliwack Family YMCA as a Fitness Instructor in addition to training, mentoring and certifying new Fitness Instructors for the YMCA. She currently lives in Chilliwack, BC with her husband and two energetic girls.

Candace

(She/Her)

Candace is our Human Resources Manager. She joins the Intuitive Team after spending the last 13 years in the administrative field - her most recent 6 years in Payroll and Human Resources. She completed her Payroll Compliance Legislation and Human Resources Certificates through the Canadian Payroll Association. Some of her focuses over the last 6 years have been in employee relations, recruiting and hiring, policy and procedure development, on-boarding and maintenance of employment standards. As soon as she dipped her toe in the world of Human Resources, she knew this was the path for her.

Candace is committed to cultivating and maintaining an inclusive work place for everyone and knows this is essential in building a great place to work. She truly believes every team member is vital to our companies success and is passionate about helping others succeed and be the best versions of themselves!

When Candace isn't at work, you can find her at an ice rink with her husband watching her boys play hockey or at a shopping mall with her daughter. She loves crafting, travelling with her family and a hot cup of coffee.

Jagvinder

Jagvinder joined our team as our front end administrative manager in November 2017 and is now one of our Clinic Directors. She is a calm, professional, dedicated, detail oriented and a problem solving maven with the kindest soul. Jag is coming to us with 10 years of working in this industry in many different capacities as she continued to develop her strong sense of leadership through rolling up her sleeves and getting in there with her team, which is so crucial in being a successful leader.

 

When not working at the clinic, Jagvinder is spending her time with her loving husband and 3 beautiful children and their adorable family dog named Charlie. Jagvinder is also quite the chef and makes the most amazing meals and often spoils the girls at the front with some of her amazing cooking.

Jenelle

(She/Her)

Jenelle is our Payroll &  Finance Manager, overseeing all aspects of the financial department. She came to Intuitive with extensive experience in finance control operations and employee stats calculations. She is passionate about numbers and the clarity they provide and inspires the team towards best practices in financial management. 

When not at work 'crunching the numbers', Jenelle enjoys spending time with her husband and 3 young children or sipping on a cup of tea.
