Your Integrated Care Team
Collaborative, Client-Centered Recovery
Recovering from an accident is most effective when care is coordinated. Our team of licensed professionals—including chiropractors, physiotherapists, RMTs, kinesiologists, clinical counsellors (RCC), and more—work together to support your full recovery. Every treatment plan is tailored to your needs, ensuring consistent progress across all areas of care.
Intuitive delivers an integrated approach to healing.
That means your recovery is guided by expertise from multiple recovery professionals.
You may wonder why you have access to so many different, but kind of similar, therapies. Let us take a moment to explain how they all fit together by focusing on different aspects of healing:
CHIROPRACTOR
Chiropractors specialize in diagnosing and treating issues with the spine and joints, using tools like adjustments, active release and exercises to improve alignment and relieve pain. Our chiropractor has advanced training in head injuries and concussions, which are common but sometimes overlooked injuries in a motor vehicle accident. Concussions can go unrecognized when other injuries are more apparent, and delayed treatment can lead to prolonged recovery. That's why we emphasize the importance of early assessment so effective treatment can begin as soon as possible. Learn more about concussions here
PHYSIOTHERAPY
Physiotherapists play a crucial role in assessing and treating injuries from a motor vehicle accident through targeted exercises, manual therapy, specialized tools (i.e. Dry Needling/IMS, shockwave, laser, etc.) and education. Their main focus is on improving your movement, reducing pain, and restoring function. By customizing treatment plans to your unique needs, our physiotherapists can help speed up recovery and get you back to normal activities.
KINESIOLOGIST
Kinesiologists specialize in exercise therapy and movement analysis, helping design personalized programs to strengthen your body, improve function & mobility, and prevent future injuries. In our clinic, your kinesiologist will work closely with your chiropractor and physiotherapist to provide additional support, progression, and guidance throughout your recovery journey. This collaborative approach brings together your exercises from our Chiro & Physios, builds on them, and gives you the tools to take more control over your recovery, helping you become more independent with your movement and function while maximizing your progress.
REGISTERED CLINICAL COUNSELLOR
Emotional and psychological recovery is just as important as physical recovery after an accident. A clinical counsellor helps address the mental and emotional impact of trauma, such as anxiety, depression, or PTSD, which are common after an accident. They provide coping strategies, stress management techniques, and a safe space to process emotions, improving mental well-being and supporting the overall healing process.
REGISTERED MASSAGE THERAPIST
RMTs focus on soft tissue therapy, helping to reduce muscle tension, alleviate pain, and improve circulation. After a motor vehicle accident, an RMT can help relieve muscle stiffness, reduce inflammation, calm the nervous system, and ease stress. This can lead to faster recovery by promoting healing of muscles and connective tissues, reducing pain, and improving overall mobility.

A comprehensive approach to recovery after a motor vehicle accident is key to achieving the best outcomes, and our team is here to guide you every step of the way. Through chiropractic care, we'll help realign your spine and joints, addressing pain and injuries, including often-overlooked concussions. Our physiotherapists will work with you to reduce pain, improve movement, and restore your function through specialized tools and manual therapy.
Our kinesiologists will further enhance your recovery with personalized exercise programs to build strength, improve mobility & function, and prevent future injury. Our RMTs will help alleviate muscle tension and promote relaxation, while our RCC will assist with essential mental health support to address the emotional toll of an accident.
By combining these therapies, we create a holistic, personalized recovery plan that ensures you're supported physically, mentally, and emotionally—empowering you to return to your everyday activities as quickly and safely as possible.

ICBC ACCIDENT BENFITS FAQS
Can I receive different treatment services on the same day?
Yes! For your convenience and better healing, ICBC allows you to receive different treatments on the same day (i.e. physio, chiro, massage, and active rehab in a single day).
ICBC will not cover multiple of the same type of treatment on the same day.
What happens if I miss an appointment?
"No shows” or last-minute cancellations are the responsibility of the client to pay. ICBC does not cover fees for unattended sessions.
We understand that life happens, and we’ll do our best to reschedule your appointment within the same week to minimize any cancellation fees.
Our team reserves time specifically for you, and we encourage you to prioritize your recovery—your commitment produces the best results. Missed appointments leave an unplanned gap that could have been used to help another client.
We ask that you provide as much advance notice as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule.
I don’t feel fully recovered yet. Will ICBC pay for more treatments if I need them?”
Once your initial treatment approvals end, our team will submit a new Treatment Plan if your therapists believe additional care is needed to help you return to your pre-injury level of function.
Each therapy discipline (e.g., physio, chiro, massage) must submit their own plan outlining your progress and recommending further treatment, if necessary.
This ensures your ICBC Recovery Specialist has a complete picture of your recovery status and can make the best decisions regarding your claim.
It’s important to remember: ICBC treatment coverage is intended to address injuries resulting from your motor vehicle accident (MVA).
Your role in recovery is critical. What you do between sessions and how you apply your therapists’ advice in daily life will significantly impact your results.
ICBC will not cover any amount beyond the approved treatment limits.
If you have extended medical benefits or a health spending account through your employer, you may be able to claim any remaining costs through that. You are responsible for confirming your eligibility.
Can you bill my extended medical plan if I have an open claim with ICBC?
Unfortunately, if you have an open claim with ICBC we’re unable to bill your extended health care provider directly. We are more than happy to provide you with the receipts you need if you wish to submit these directly to your extended health care plan.
